Broadlands Residents:
We will be applying Sealcoating to the roads in your community during the week
of May 6-9 (Monday through Thursday). If the weather conditions prevent us from
working on your day, we will move your day to the end of the schedule. (For
example, if it rains on Monday May 6, we will skip the Blue section and start the
Yellow section on Tuesday May 7. The Blue section would then be moved to
Thursday May 9.)
Due to the drying requirements of sealcoating, the sections will be closed from 8
am until 7 pm. We will remove the cones and open up the sections as soon as
the sealcoating is dry and safe to drive on, which may be slightly earlier.
Map of Areas:
I have attached a map of the areas to outline the phases of work to be
completed. Please have your car moved out of your driveway or street by 8 am.
Tow truck will be onsite at 8 am and will relocate any cars at owner’s expense
that are in the way on Bedfordshire Court or in any roadways being sealcoated.
Monday May 6, Day 1: Blue Area
Tuesday May 7, Day 2: Yellow Area
Wednesday May 8, Day 3: Red Area
Thursday May 9, Day 4: Weather Makeup Day
Helpful Hints:
1) Notify landscapers, trash pickup, and any outside service.
2) Please shut down all sprinklers during the project.
3) If walked thru, sealant will track on sidewalks, carpets, or inside of cars.
4) There will be a distinct odor for a few days following the project.
5) If there is a chance of rain, high winds, or a late start due to cars in the way,
RDU Paving may cut back area of push the project back a day.
We look forward to completing this job for you. Please contact us if you have any
concerns.
